Looking for professionals for the position of AGM.Manager-SCM for the Supply Chain Section. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commercial activities and procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring that the company obtains the best value for its purchases while adhering to company policies and procedures.
_Job Responsibilities _
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. • Look after sourcing especially engineering items locally and internationally. • You need to time-to-time communicate with the supplier and find new suppliers. • Responsible for managing the procurement budget, ensuring that costs are controlled, and that the organization obtains the best value for money. • Manage the purchasing process, including issuing purchase orders, following up on deliveries, and ensuring that goods are received on time and at the agreed-upon price. • Sourcing, Surveying the reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at competitive prices. • Reviewing product specifications, confirming best prices carefully and preparing purchase plan accordingly. • To ensure all commercial activities (e.g.PI collection, L/C Open, L/C amendment, L/C retirement and conditions according to Bangladesh Bank rules & regulations, shipment conditions, communication with parties, payment realization etc.) through overseas communications. • Liaison with supplier, C&F & transportation for reach the product to customs and ensure delivery of machine/ goods from customs and port authority. • Must have good knowledge about Bond License, Customs, C&F, Shipping lines, Bank Correspondence & other statutory authorities.
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of B.Sc Engineering in EEE/Mechanical • MBA in supply chain management, or a related field. • Training in Supply Chain Management will be given preference.
_Additional Requirements _
• Minimum 10 years work experience in commercial or SCM • Excellent negotiation and communication skills • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement-related software • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google Spreadsheet
